Dr. Hovanes Kirakosyan, his story and the mission
Dr. Hov’s Training And Expertise
Dr. Hovanes Kirakosyan earned his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from San Diego State University and his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine. He has been a licensed physical therapist and board certified in orthopedics since 2016. For five years, he worked at Elite Orthosport Physical Therapy and Performance, where he trained under highly respected mentors and collaborated with some of the top spine surgeons in the country. During that time, he treated everything from simple strains to complex post-surgical recoveries, helping weekend warriors, athletes, and older adults alike.
Identifying The Gaps In Traditional Physical Therapy
Through that experience, Dr.Kirakosyan saw a recurring problem in the traditional physical therapy model — patients weren’t getting the time, detail, or depth of care they truly needed to achieve lasting results. Insurance restrictions, high caseloads, and rushed visits often forced therapists to prioritize volume over quality. For many patients, that meant short-term relief instead of long-term solutions.

A lifelong mover, he’s passionate about strength training and martial arts, regularly practicing Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, and mixed martial arts. Beyond training, Hovanes is driven by a simple philosophy — move every day, move well, and continue pushing the limits of what your body is capable of.
A Personal Journey That Sparked A Mission
What truly set this journey in motion was personal. While working as a physical therapist early in his career, Dr. Kirakosyan suffered a disc herniation — giving him firsthand insight into the physical and emotional toll of persistent back pain. Frustrated by the limited guidance and generic approaches often offered to patients, he applied his own knowledge and experience to address the injury — experimenting, refining, and combining strategies that delivered real, lasting results.
